

The Land’s Sake Board of Directors was founded in 1980 by Brian Donahue, Doug Henderson, Pat Siek and Martha Gogel.
Alyson Muzila, Board President
Alyson Muzila has lived in Weston since 2001 and has served on the Land's Sake Board since 2004. She attended Macalester College and has a background in environmental communications. In addition to her work at Land's Sake, Alyson serves on the boards of the Weston Land Trust, the Weston Community Children's Association (WCCA) and the Macalester College Alumni Association. She and her husband Peter have three sons.
Kirk Jensen, Treasurer
Kirk is the Energy / Clean Technology practice leader for William Gallagher Associates, a commercial insurance broker. He is very excited about the opportunities to educate kids about sustaining the world around them and the role that healthy food production, preparation and consumption plays in their lives.
Barbara Keller, Secretary
Barbara has a checkered past, consisting of being a professor of biology, ecologist, landscape designer, computer programmer, singer, potter, felt-maker, mother, and dog rescuer. She moved to Weston nine years ago and got involved with Land’s Sake to her great delight, finding there a community of people who respect the land that supports us.
Holly Ameden
Holly Ameden moved to Weston with her husband and three sons in 2010. She received her Ph.D. in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2008. Prior to California, she lived in Arizona and throughout New England. Along the way she earned two Master’s degrees, worked in the environmental consulting field, and tried to eat locally grown food wherever she went.
Joe Berman
Joe Berman is a Weston resident and a lawyer in Boston. He and his family live a few blocks from the farm and they are active participants in its activities.
Michelle Hipwood
Michelle moved to Weston in late 2010 with her husband and two kids. She is currently the Executive Director of The Capital Network, a non-profit dedicated to providing extensive educational programs and a community to help high growth early-stage entrepreneurs successfully raise seed capital. Prior to joining The Capital Network, Michelle’s experience was primarily in investment banking and strategy consulting working for a boutique investment bank and a national strategy consulting firm. She has an MBA from Babson College’s Olin School of Business and a B.S. from Boston College.
John Marchiony
John Marchiony married Deb, a lifer through the Weston school system, and arrived at Land's Sake in June, 2002 with a voracious 2-year-old who ate strawberries seemingly for hours. John enjoys hand-picking and has been known to pick kilos of carrots, tomatoes, onions, and berries, and makes a colorful, flavorful, renowned broccoli salad. He's a marketing consultant who works extensively with non-profits and startups.
Matt Mitchell
Matt is Vice President of Acquisitions and Strategic Development for Harvest Power, a company transforming organic waste into renewable energy and compost based products. Matt lives in Weston with his wife and two children and enjoys hiking and biking Weston’s many trails. Matt holds a B.A. from Colgate University and an M.B.A from the University of Virginia’s Darden School. Matt is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Faith Rand
Faith has been involved with Land's Sake off and on since the beginning, and was a Green Power kid before that with Bill McElwain. She worked on staff at Land's Sake, in the fields and minding the farm stand. She also helped maintain the farm's flock of sheep for wool and meat, grazing ewes and lambs in little back pastures all over town. She is married to Brian Donahue and has two children, Liam and Maggie, who are 5th generation Westonians.
Ned Rossiter
Ned Rossiter has lived in Weston for 40 years and has been with Land's Sake since its founding in 1980. A career secondary history teacher and administrator, Ned retired from the Newton North High School in 2001 andis currently teaching in the Education Program at Brandeis University. It has been a great joy for him to watch Land's Sake grow over the years.
Miriam Stason
Miriam, a Weston native, is an experienced and widely respected farmer. Miriam graduated from Middlebury College and began her growing career in Costa Rica. She joined the Food Project in Lincoln in 2003 as an Assistant grower. Since then Miriam has served as Assistant Farm Manager, Lincoln Farm Manager and Director of Agriculture for the Food Project. Miriam recently left the Food Project to focus on her family.
Nathalie Thompson
Nathalie Thompson moved to Weston with her family in 2000 into the house of Bill McElwain, one of the founders of Land's Sake. She considers that a very lucky coincidence as it began her involvement with Land's Sake which has grown over the years including a term on the board and 4 years on the Education Committee. Her background is in counseling and education, and since moving to Weston she has enjoyed a variety of volunteer and board work with local non-profits.
Jonathan White
Jonathan has practiced real estate law in Weston since 1980. In 1991 he moved to Weston along with his wife Joyce and their two sons. He has been actively involved with a number of community organizations including Weston Forest and Trail Association and Boy Scouts. An avid outdoorsman and gardener, Jonathan is especially enthusiastic about Land's Sake and its mission of connecting people with the natural environment.
