Stephanie Andrews – Assistant Farm Manager
Stephanie grew up not too far from Weston, in one of those suburban-rural towns in the north-middle of the state on a road that ended with farm fields. Melanie Hardy – Farm Manager
Melanie grew up in southern Connecticut, and spent her summers boating and exploring the seashore with her family. She blames the experience of catching her own food (fishing with her parents) for planting the farming seed in her soul. After leaving Connecticut at the age of 18, she worked as a gardener in eastern Long Island, NY for four years, and fell in love with working outside on her first day at the job. To further pursue her interest in farming and ecology, Melanie went on to study agroecology and art at Prescott College, in Arizona. Upon completing her studies, she returned to the east coast to dive fully into farming. She has worked on a number of small farms in Massachusetts, and joined the Land's Sake team in spring of 2009. email: melanie@landssake.org |
