AnnouncementsSTRAWBERRY FESTIVAL!! June 21st from 10 - 2pm. At the farm. Parking accross the street at the Field School. Live music! Food! Fun Activities! And of course, lots of strawberries. Rain Date June 22nd. We hope you can come out to the 2008 Land's Sake Strawb Fest! Check out our Education Page: Join us in the forest as we explore the canopy, the forest floor and everything in between. Rolling logs to scrounge for insects, mapping biodiversity or utilizing tools used by colonial settlers may be just a few of the activities your group will engage in. Along the way, we will also highlight some of the cultural history elements of both past and present that have and will shape our local forested environments. Programs are available to students in kindergarten through 12th grade and are in accordance with curriculum frameworks. These newly designed programs are available for immediate reservation so be one of the first to experience them.
The environmental clean up at Land's Sake Farm has concluded. The Town of Weston, which owns the land (which is technically known as the Case 40-Acre Field) awarded a $168,000 contract to Corporate Environmental Advisors of West Boylston, MA, to work to remove the contaminated soil and renovate the area with clean soil. What to do with it next is a good question. Plums anyone? Congratulations to the Case Coalition for leading the effort to Save the Case Estates... www.caseestates.org Concerned about the use of toxics in our community? Read more here.
