NEW KINDERGARTEN THROUGH 3RD GRADE PROGRAMS COMMING SOON!

Our after school programs are designed to excite students to learn more about the outside world and feel comfortable on the farm.  Flexible online registration allows families to register for the day(s) of the week that best fit their schedule through the season.

After School Explorers (4th & 5th Graders)

Our after school programs are designed to excite students to learn more about the outside world and feel comfortable on the farm. Our fall and spring after school programs allow participants to further their farm education by engaging with the land beyond the summer months. Students join the end-of-season harvest, care for our livestock, and learn how to prepare the earth for winter. Spring programs offer experiences in the gardens sowing seeds and help with the new baby livestock.

  • Spring: 8 Weeks, April 24th - June 12th, 2012

  • Tuesdays from 2:30-5:00pm
  • For your convienence a Land's Sake Educator will meet students at the Weston Field School at dismissal to escort students to the farm. We also offer the option for students to be dropped off at 3:30pm at a reduced price.
  • Cost: $150 Land's Sake members receive a %15 discount
  • Maximum of 10 students per day
  • Minimum of 4 students per day

After School Maple

Designed to actively involve youth in all phases of maple sugar production, students help identify and tap maple trees, gather sap, and boil and bottle syrup. Students learn the rich heritage of sugaring in New England from past to present, as well as the science behind the sugaring process. The season ends with the popular Land’s Sake Sugaring Off event, held at the Sugar House, where students lead tours using the knowledge acquired over the season.

  • For students in 6th-8th grades
  • Jan 30 - Mar. 24, 2012
  • Mondays & Thursdays from 2:45-5:15pm
  • Cost: $160 per student, Land's Sake members receive a %15 discount
  • Students are required to attend the Sugaring Off Festival on the 24th of March from 9am to 1pm to culminate their experience.
  • Students earn a share of the profit generated by the sale of maple syrup at the Sugaring Off Festival on March 24th.
  • Maximum of 14 students
