How many miles will your Christmas tree travel? If you purchase it from a local store or parking lot, it has probably been trucked a loooong way.
So this year, why not stop by Land's Sake's office at the historic Melone House on the Sears Land between 10am and 2pm and cut down one of our own organically managed Christmas trees. It's a great way to reduce your carbon footprint and spend a day outside with family and friends. We have trees of all shapes, sizes, and unique personalities (Balsam Fir, Douglas Fir, and Frasier Fir). We have about 50 trees available for purchase. After you've found the perfect tree, you can enjoy some hot soup and a hot beverage at the Land's Sake office or take a hike around the Sears Land and Forbes Conservation Land.
All trees will be sold for a flat rate of $75. Land's Sake will have some hand saws and helpers available, but please bring your own saws if you have them.
In addition to trees, we also will have pre-ordered wreaths available for pickup. Wreaths are hand crafted by our own Hilary Crowell and made from Weston evergreens including Norway Spruce, White Pine, Blue Spruce, Cedar, Yew, Arborvitae, and more! If you'd like to purchase a wreath email hilary@landssake.org
