Share Options

Membership is a requirement for participation in our CSA program.  Please make sure that you do not purchase a Membership twice.

As a Land's Sake Shareholder, you will pick up your veggies at the farm each week on your designated pick-up day. Rather than pre-boxed shares, we displayed our produce so that you can choose, for example, which tomatoes or kale look the most appealing to you! All shares (excluding the Late Autumn share) include pick-your-own beans, cherry tomatoes, peas, some herbs, and flowers. By purchasing a produce share, you get more produce for your money than if you purchased it at the farmstand; our goal is to provide you more value for your investment.

The Extended Harvest Share is SOLD OUT for 2014! Please consider our Back-to-School and Late Autumn Shares or Green Dollars for this season. The EXTENDED HARVEST SHARE is a combination of two well-loved options: our Harvest Share (FULL) and the Late Autumn Share. Read a description of each "section" of this share below!

The Full Harvest Share is SOLD OUT for 2014! Please consider our Back-to-School and Late Autumn Shares or Green Dollars for this season. The FULL HARVEST SHARE is twenty weeks of Land's Sake-grown produce, picked up at the farm each week. You’ll receive between 9 and 13 seasonal items per pick-up, with some opportunities for choice mixed in when possible. Pick-ups start the week of June 9th, 2014 and conclude the week of October 20th, 2014. Suitable for two very veggie-loving people or a family of four.

The Small Harvest Share is SOLD OUT for 2014! Please consider our Back-to-School and Late Autumn Shares or Green Dollars for this season. The SMALL HARVEST SHARE is twenty weeks of Land’s Sake-grown produce, picked up at the farm each week. Between 6 and 8 seasonal items per pick-up, with some opportunities for choice when possible. Pick-ups start the week of June 9th, 2014 and conclude the week of October 20th, 2014. Suitable for a family of four that doesn’t eat too many veggies or two people who really like veggies.

The BACK TO SCHOOL SHARE is a great option if you want the Full Harvest Share but you are away for a lot of the summer! This share begins in early September with the last eight weeks of our Harvest Share and ends with the Late Autumn Share. Pick-ups (for the first eight weeks) start the week of September 1st, 2014 and conclude the week of October 20th, 2014. The Late Autumn Share pick-ups are always on Saturdays and are scheduled as follows: November 8th, 2014; November 22nd, 2014; December 6th, 2014.

The LATE AUTUMN SHARE is three generous shares consisting of delicious Land's Sake "winter" vegetables, picked up on a bi-weekly basis from the farm. The second pick-up will be the largest, timed for use in your Thanksgiving meal, and can include favorites like sweet potatoes, potatoes, winter squash, celeriac, Brussels sprouts, turnips, beets, carrots, popcorn and more. Pick-ups are always on Saturdays and are scheduled as follows: November 8th, 2014; November 22rd, 2014; December 6th, 2014. A fun way to connect with the farm and farmers at a different time of the year!

What is a CSA?

CSA stands for "Community Supported Agriculture," an increasingly common model for small, sustainable-method farms to market their produce. In a CSA program, shareholders share with the farmers the bounty and risk inherent in growing food. Shareholders participate by purchasing a season's worth of farm-raised food before the growing season begins. CSA members then pick up their share of the harvest on a weekly basis during the growing season, usually about 20 weeks.

Joining a CSA allows shareholders to share in the bounty of the farm's harvest and represents a commitment to growing and consuming food grown close to home without the use of synthetic chemicals that pollute our soils and waterways.
