Green Power begins!

The Green Power Summer program, for students entering 6th through 9th grades, will educate your child about farming, local ecology, land stewardship, animal husbandry, the importance of local food systems and the benefits of working as a team as they tend together their own ¾ acre garden throughout the summer. Students also learn the value of their work by receiving a weekly stipend, funded in part by the Town of Weston. The food the students grow is donated to local food banks. Throughout the program an emphasis is placed on establishing lifelong patterns of sustainable living and giving back to the community that benefit students long after summer is over.
